The Glenkens Gazette is an initiative of Glenkens Community & Arts Trust (SC032050) and represents the voice of the community (not necessarily the views of GCAT).
The Galloway Glens Landscape Partnership Scheme undertook five years of co-ordinated activity and projects in Dumfries & Galloway between 2018 and 2023, focused on the river catchment of the Ken/Dee valley.
An initiative of Dumfries and Galloway Council's Environment Team, the aim was to ‘connect people to their heritage’ and in doing so, drive economic activity in the area and support sustainable communities.
The Scheme was primarily funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland, with additional support from a range of other partners, including Dumfries & Galloway Council and the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere.
